EU Funds for integration. How can we better support people with a migrant background?

The European Economic and Social Committee and the Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy of the European Commission have the pleasure to invite you to the launch of the “Toolkit on use of EU Funds for the integration of people with a migrant background”.

The European Commission continues to look for ways to assist Member States in the field of integration of third country nationals. Based on lessons learnt, the toolkit aims to support national and regional funding authorities in implementing integration policies through the use of EU funds and, therefore, to reinforce synergies between those funds. This will help identify measures to promote the use of EU funds in the fields of employment, education, reception, housing and access to basic services.

The event will bring together a wide range of stakeholders, including representatives of EU, national and local administrations, funding authorities, and civil society organisations. Speakers will include the Commissioner for Regional Policy, Ms Corina Crețu, the President of the European Economic and Social Committee, Mr Georges Dassis.

When: Wednesday 24 January 2018: 2.30 – 5.30 p.m.
Where: Venue: EESC, Room VMA3, Rue Van Maerlant 2, Brussels
