The article discusses the growing problem of the decrease of labour force in Lithuania. The author of the article presumes that one of the ways of the problem solving is open labour market for foreigners. In recent years, an increasing number of foreigners entering the local labour market is noticeable. However, their employment is complicated because of complex and lengthy procedure of foreigners’ recruitment. Less restricted migration policy would reduce the labour shortage in the country, as well as would have a positive impact for the economy of the country.
