Lithuania will continue to resettle refugees in the frame of the EU programme

The government of the Republic of Lithuania has adopted the decision to continue to resettle refugees from Middle East in the frame of the EU resettlement and relocation programme. The refugees will be resettled up to the November 2019.

In 2015, Lithuania committed to resettle 1105 refugees, but the European Commission has reduced this number to 1077 after adjustments. Up to now 468 persons have been resettled to Lithuania.
