Violations of equal opportunities are noticed more frequently

Office of the Equal Opportunities Ombudsperson announces that 757 persons referred to the Office, half of them did so after they noticed possible discrimination on the grounds of sex. In the second place are reports on the possible discrimination on the grounds of age, in the third place – on the grounds of disability. Possible violations of equal opportunities due to social status, sexual orientation, nationality and to other grounds were much less common. For instance, investigations on the discrimination on the grounds of race, citizenship, language, nationality and ethnicity consisted 10 per cent of all investigations carried out by the Office in 2017.
