NAME transnational report: immigrant women in Europe

Project “New Action for Migrant Women (NAME)” invites to read its transnational report, designed to review Europe’s immigrant women status and good integration experiences.

Lithuania, where total immigrants number accounts for 4,7 percent of its population, is among five countries compared in the document. Currently there are almost 72,000 women immigrants who reside in Lithuania, 84 percent of whom origin from non-European Union countries, namely – Russia (40,8 percent) and Belarus (25,7 percent).

Along with examples from Denmark, Spain, Italy and Cyprus, the report discusses women immigrants relation to global and local populations, as well as employment experiences.
