Study on climate change, international migration and human rights introduced

Lithuanian National Platform of Non-Governmental Development Cooperation Organizations and Akvile Krisciunaite and Ugne Litvinaite, researchers from organization “Diversity Development Group”, issued a study “Relation between climate change, international migration and human rights in the context of Sustainable Development Agenda 2030”.

The document analyses the status of “climate refugee” term interpreted by the international law, practical intergovernmental organizations’ response to socioeconomic problems caused by the climate change, as well as discusses the links between climate change and migration policies in Lithuania, provides conclusions and recommendations.
