Beginning June 21, foreigners can apply for the status of an e-resident

Migration Department informs that beginning June 21, 2021, foreigners who reside in Lithuania can apply for the status of an electronic resident.

E-resident card will allow to use various public services that have been widely provided electronically. In the beginning, this will include an opportunity to:

  • log in to the Electronic Government Gateway;
  • sign the documents with an e-signature;
  • use Electronic Government Gateway to access Lithuanian Migration Information System (MIGRIS).

In the future, the list of services available for those holding the status of an electronic resident will be gradually extended.

Applications from foreigners seeking to be become e-residents will be accepted through MIGRIS electronic system.
