European Migration Network (EMN) published its annual migration and asylum report.
The findings of the document reveal that Covid-19 virus pandemic had a major impact on processes related to third-country nationals’ migration in the European Union states and Norway. In 2020, there has been significantly less migrants and asylum seekers who come to the European Union from the third (non-EU) countries as well as persons who leave the EU on the basis of return procedures.
Along with statistical trends, the report also looks into legal, political and procedural changes.
