Residents are invited to get vaccinated via SMS messages

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania reminds that all residents over the age of 16 who have not yet been vaccinated and (or) have not yet got infected with and recovered from Covid-19 will receive a one-time SMS message informing them about the possibility to get vaccinated. This strategy is used to prevent further deterioration of the epidemiological situation in the country.

It is noted that notifications will be sent to the patients’ mobile numbers indicated in the esveikata.lt system. The content of the messages residents receive will depend on the age group to which the recipient is assigned. The cost of SMS messages sent on behalf of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania will be reimbursed from the state budget.

IMPORTANT: The Ministry apologizes in advance if part of the population receives a message that is no longer relevant to their particular case – i.e. if SMS with a reminder will be sent out to people who have already got vaccinated or recently recovered from COVID-19.
