“Branches of the International Ukrainian School in Lithuania’s Vilnius and the port city of Klaipėda started operating last week despite not being granted permission to run under the Ukrainian education program by the Lithuanian Ministry of Science, Education and Sport.
In the absence of this permission, the educational establishment cannot receive the so-called “student’s basket” funds for each student.
“This year, the minister of education, science and sport has already granted permission to four schools to operate under the Ukrainian education program,” the ministry told BNS.
“Two schools that have so far not received such permission are the Kharkiv school Gravitation and the International Ukrainian School as they have not yet provided all the information and documents to prove their readiness to work,” it added.”
