EMN inform on transition of unaccompanied minors to adulthood

European Migration Network (EMN) issued an inform on transition of unaccompanied minors to adulthood. Where available, the document provides an overview of the situation of unaccompanied minors who have applied for asylum in the EU countries and those who have not.

Authors of the inform draw attention to the fact that unaccompanied minors face a double transition: not only from childhood into adulthood, but also, possibly, towards a change to their status, which can impact on their right to stay, and the extent to which they can access education, housing, employment, services, and support.
